HTC M7 sends notfication reminder every 10 sec

I'm going out of my mind!!! When I get a notification of any type I keep getting a notification every 10 seconds until I clear it. The notifications are across multiple apps, including the default e-mail app, G-mail, Facebook, and so on so it doesn't appear to be tied to one thing. Flash...
