Voice dial on sIII 4.4.2

When I voice dial by name ("call John Doe") android says "I have found (contact name) in your address book" and turns off microphone without dialing. Therefore if contact is in address book you can't quite dial hands free. Must manually turn mike back on. This is an illogical "feature."
